Building on the strong legacy of collaboration between Indonesia and Japan in the energy sector, from trading of crude oil and petroleum products since 1965, into era of cleaner energy by trading Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) and evolving into more dynamic players in biomass and renewable energy by 2020, PPT has proven track record and solid presence in key markets and a growing portfolio of sustainable energy businesses.

  • 1965 Far East Oil Trading Co., Ltd. ("FEOT") was established on May 15, 1965, for marketing Indonesian crude and fuel oils to Japanese Market.
  • 1972 Japan Indonesia Oil Co., Ltd. ("JIOC") was established as a vehicle company for providing financing oil system to Indonesia.
  • 1996 FEOT and JIOC merged and rebranded as Pacific Petroleum & Trading Co., Ltd. (PPT).
  • 2010 Renamed as PPT Energy Trading Co., Ltd. expanding its business scope to include LNG, LPG, and other energy commodities.
  • 2016 Establishment of PPT Energy Trading Singapore Pte. Ltd. to expand business activities of LNG trading.
  • From2020
    onwards     Strategic pivot towards growing demands in New and Renewable Energy (NRE), aligning with global energy transitions.
